...braaaiiiins...

It's Halloween, which means it's zombie time (though, honestly, when isn't it zombie time?)! John Skipp has published a massive new anthology called Zombies: Encounters with the Hungry Dead. Featured in the anthology is Jack's story The Visitor. Other contributors include Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, Ray Bradbury, and Poppy Z. Brite.
If ever there was an anthology to add to your zombie shelf, this would be it.

Inspiration for JOYRIDE/ROADKILL dies...

Howard Barton Unruh, who killed 13 people in a shooting spree in 1949, has died at age 88.

Unruh was one of the inspirations for Jack's book Joyride (aka Road Kill). While Unruh was eventually determined to be insane, it is interesting to note that his last name in German means "disquiet."

More information about Howard Barton Unruh can be found here.
